SnatchLock: privacy policy
SnatchLock Privacy Policy
Effective date: 18 September 2026
SnatchLock Phone Security ("SnatchLock") is a device security and recovery application developed by MiarkiTech / 3D Studio Production.
SnatchLock is designed to help users protect their own Apple devices if they are lost or stolen.
We take privacy seriously and intentionally limit the information processed by SnatchLock to the minimum required to provide its device security and recovery features.
1. Who We Are
SnatchLock is operated by MiarkiTech / 3D Studio Production.
Website: https://3dstudiopro.com/
If you have a privacy question or would like to exercise your data protection rights, please use the contact form available on the MiarkiTech website.
2. Mobile Device Management
SnatchLock uses Apple's Mobile Device Management technology to provide security features for devices explicitly enrolled by their owner.
Before enrolling a device, the user is informed about the device management functionality and the information that may be processed.
SnatchLock uses Mobile Device Management only for device security and recovery purposes.
The MDM functionality may be used to:
- remotely lock an enrolled device;
- display recovery information on a lost device where supported by Apple;
- remotely erase an enrolled device after explicit confirmation by its owner;
- retrieve limited device information necessary to display the security and recovery status of the device.
SnatchLock does not use Mobile Device Management to monitor the general activity of the user or to manage devices belonging to another person without their knowledge.
3. Information We May Collect
When an iPhone is enrolled in the SnatchLock security service, we may process limited device information provided through Apple's device management infrastructure.
This may include:
- device enrolment identifier;
- device model and product information;
- iOS version;
- device serial number;
- IMEI, when available;
- battery level;
- MDM enrolment and device management status;
- date and time of the device's last successful contact with the SnatchLock service;
- status and timestamps of security commands, such as device lock or erase requests;
- information indicating whether Apple's device locator service is enabled, where this information is made available by Apple.
We process only information required to provide the security and recovery service.
4. Information SnatchLock Does Not Collect
SnatchLock does not use Mobile Device Management to collect or inspect:
- photos or videos;
- messages;
- email contents;
- contacts;
- camera data;
- microphone recordings;
- browsing history;
- documents or other personal files;
- the contents of other applications;
- the list of applications installed on the device.
SnatchLock does not currently collect precise device location through Mobile Device Management.
Location recovery is not included in the current MDM capability request. If location-based recovery functionality is introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated before such processing begins and the appropriate Apple permissions and user authorisation will be obtained.
5. How We Use Information
Information processed by SnatchLock is used solely to provide and operate the device security and recovery service.
This includes:
- enrolling and identifying a protected device;
- displaying device security status;
- processing remote security commands requested by the device owner;
- confirming whether a security command has been received or completed;
- displaying device battery and connectivity status where available;
- maintaining a limited security activity history;
- protecting the integrity and security of the SnatchLock service;
- responding to support requests relating to an enrolled device.
We do not use MDM-derived information for advertising, marketing, behavioural analytics, profiling or determining advertising audiences.
6. Remote Device Actions
Remote Lock
A device owner may request that their enrolled iPhone be remotely locked.
Remote Erase
A device owner may request that their enrolled iPhone be erased if they believe recovery is no longer possible.
Remote erase is a destructive operation and requires clear confirmation before the request is submitted.
SnatchLock does not initiate an erase operation for advertising, analytics or automated profiling purposes.
7. Sharing of Information
SnatchLock does not sell personal data or device management data.
SnatchLock does not provide MDM-derived user or device information to advertising networks, marketing companies, data brokers or third-party analytics services.
Infrastructure providers may process technical information solely where necessary to operate the SnatchLock service and only on our behalf, subject to appropriate confidentiality, security and data protection requirements.
Such service providers are not permitted to use SnatchLock data for their own advertising, marketing, profiling or analytics purposes.
Apple infrastructure may be used where required to provide Apple device management and push notification functionality.
8. Analytics and Advertising
SnatchLock does not use MDM-derived information for analytics.
SnatchLock does not contain advertising SDKs and does not use device management information for advertising or marketing.
We do not create advertising or behavioural profiles from information obtained through Apple's Mobile Device Management APIs.
9. Data Security
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect information processed by SnatchLock.
These measures include:
- encrypted TLS connections for communication between devices and SnatchLock services;
- restricted access to production systems;
- access controls based on operational need;
- appropriate encryption and protection for stored service data;
- minimisation of collected information;
- separation of security functions from advertising and analytics systems.
Access to production device information is limited to authorised personnel who require access to operate, secure or support the service.
10. Data Retention
Device management information is retained only for as long as necessary to provide SnatchLock's security service.
Information associated with an enrolled device is removed when it is no longer required to provide the service or following a valid deletion request, subject to limited retention where necessary for security, fraud prevention or legal obligations.
Security command and activity records are retained only for a limited period necessary to provide device recovery information and service support.
Data removed from active systems may remain temporarily in encrypted backups until those backups are automatically replaced.
We do not retain MDM-derived information indefinitely.
11. Removing a Device and Deleting Data
Users may remove their device from SnatchLock and may request deletion of information associated with their device.
Removing the SnatchLock device management profile will stop SnatchLock from issuing future MDM commands to that device.
Data deletion requests may be submitted using the contact form available on the MiarkiTech website.
Where legally permitted and technically possible, we will delete the relevant data after verifying the request.
12. Legal Basis for Processing
Where UK data protection law applies, we process personal information only where a lawful basis exists.
For the core SnatchLock security service, processing is generally necessary to provide the security service requested by the user and to perform the service agreement with the user.
We may also process limited technical and security information where necessary for our legitimate interests in protecting SnatchLock, preventing misuse and maintaining the security and reliability of the service.
Where consent is legally required for an optional feature, we will obtain that consent before processing the relevant information.
13. International Data Transfers
Where personal information must be processed outside the United Kingdom, we will use appropriate safeguards as required by applicable data protection law.
We seek to minimise international transfers of MDM-derived information.
14. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on applicable law, users may have rights including:
- access to personal information held about them;
- correction of inaccurate information;
- deletion of personal information;
- restriction of processing;
- objection to certain processing;
- data portability where applicable;
- withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent.
Privacy requests can be submitted through the contact form available on the MiarkiTech website.
If you are located in the United Kingdom, you also have the right to raise a concern with the Information Commissioner's Office.
More information is available at https://ico.org.uk.
15. Children
SnatchLock is a device security service intended for users who are authorised to enrol and manage the device being protected.
SnatchLock is not designed to secretly monitor children or other individuals.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if SnatchLock's functionality or data processing practices change.
If a change introduces a new use of personal information, we will update this Privacy Policy before that processing begins and, where required, request additional user permission.
The current version will always be available on the MiarkiTech website.
